The patient is a 44 year old man who had a large keloid scar behind his right ear. A keloid in the same area had been removed several years ago, but it had recurred and was quite bothersome. The patient underwent Keloid Scar Revision, or removal of the keloid. He is pleased not only with his post -operative appearance, but says he is enjoying being free of the annoyance and discomfort this condition caused. There are a number of options available to improve the appearance, sensation, and range of motion around a thick or contracted scar. These techniques can improve either true keloids, or hypertrophic scars.
