Surgeon: Vincent D. Lepore, MD
This 32-year old patient from the greater Bay Area, had been researching Breast Surgery in San Jose, to address several problems. She felt that her breasts were asymmetrical, one larger than the other. This is a very common occurrence. In addition to the size difference, the larger breast sat a bit lower than the smaller one, and the nipple location appeared not centered. Dr. Lepore discussed several options with this woman, including Breast Augmentation, and Mastopexy, or Breast Lift, for the larger, lower breast. A combination of the two surgeries, it was advised, may give her the best outcome.
At this time, though, the patient elected to proceed with San Jose Breast Augmentation alone, to see how that would change the overall appearance of her breasts. The surgery was performed in our fully-accredited, outpatient surgery center. The patient chose high-profile saline implants, which were filled to different volumes to accommodate the asymmetry. The patient has healed well, is very pleased with the results, and understands that other options are available to her, if she should want to pursue any further refinement.
