This woman, in her 40s, wished to 'update' the Breast Augmentation she had over 15 years ago. She was very pleased with her breast aug, but has noted some slight sagging occurring naturally over time. She came to Dr. Lepore to discuss options, and decided on Breast Lift, and Breast Augmentation with Removal and Replacement of her original implants.
During surgery in our AAASF-accredited surgical facility, her original (390cc) Saline Implants were removed, and replaced with Extra High Profile Silicone Implants (650cc). Her Breast Lift, a Donut Mastopexy, was performed with incisions around the areola, a procedure providing a more moderate lift. Our patient is picture in the After photos, 7 weeks post-surgery. She is very happy with her results.
Breast Lift-Short Scar, Breast Augmentation
Breast Lift – Breast Augmentation – Remove & Replace Breast Implants
Patients considering cosmetic breast surgery often tell us they like the look of their breasts-in a bra, but want to have the same appearance (or lift) without one. Often, they will want to achieve the look with Breast Augmentation alone. Sometimes, that can work-but often, it is not the solution. This patient has had saline breast implants for a period of years. She has noticed some sagging of her C to D cup breasts, and wants to replace the current implants with larger, silicone implants. Dr. Lepore advised that switching to a larger size would not produce the Lift she wanted.
After careful consideration, the patient decided to undergo a combination of procedures; short scar Breast Lift, removal of saline implants, Breast Augmentation with high profile silicone implants. (500cc Allergan Natrelle). The after photos were taken about 2 months after the surgery. The patient is very pleased with her choices, and the appearance of her breasts.
At different times in life, patients may want different things. That is the case for this woman, who had undergone Breast Augmentation surgery with saline implants, approximately 9 years ago. She had no real complaints about her breasts. No pain, no scar capsule. She basically wanted a change back, to her natural breasts.
The procedure for removal of implants is fairly simple, and in her case, there were no complications. Often, when implants are removed, a breast lift may be performed, or recommended. This patient agreed that Breast Lift may be something to consider in the future. But for now, she is very pleased with the outcome of her implant removal.
Breast Implants-Remove & Replace
This woman, in her mid-50s, had a breast augmentation (with another physician) about 25 years ago. Over time, capsular contractures formed around the implants- pushing them up and out, to an unnatural position. She wanted to restore the appearance of her breasts.
Dr. Lepore recommended a capsulectomy (surgical excision of the calcified scar capsules), along with Removal and Replacement of her breast implants. Our patient decided to proceed with the surgery, and chose smooth, round, moderate profile silicone gel implants, 275cc, to replace what she had.
She is seen 10 weeks following surgery in her After photos, and is very happy with her choices, and the results of her procedures.
This young woman had had a Breast Augmentation some time ago. She experienced one of the most common complications resulting from this type of surgery, a condition known as Capsular Contracture, or contracting of the implants due to the formation of internal scar tissue.
All patients differ when it comes to scar formation. In this case, you can see that the implants had been 'pushed' to a position not considered optimal for a natural appearance.
She came to Dr. Lepore to have the scar tissue removed, in an operation known as a capsulotomy or capsulectomy. Once that was done, the existing implants were removed, and replaced with silicone gel implants, of the patient's choosing.
To complete her transformation, she also chose to have a breast lift, or bilateral Donut Mastopexy.
She is very pleased with the outcome, and feels the appearance of her breasts has been greatly improved.
This patient is in her early 70s, and has had breast implants (placed by other physicians), for about 35 years. She had her implants replaced about 5 years ago, and has noted changes due to capsular contracture (scarring around the implant which can push the implant into an unnatural position).
She wanted to change the implants, and wished to reduce the size, overall.
During surgery, her old implants were removed, and replaced with 170cc low profile silicone gel implants. The implants were placed subglandularly. Our patient is seen 8 weeks after her surgery, and is very pleased with her results.
This is a patient, in her early 50s, who had a breast augmentation with 450cc implants more than 15 years ago. She came to Dr. Lepore, after one of her saline implants had deflated. In addition, she had a capsular contracture in the other breast, along with sagging of both breasts, due to age and skin elasticity changes over time.
She decided that she did not want to replace the implants, but was hoping to lift and reshape her natural breasts. Dr. Lepore discussed various options with her. It was determined that she would best be served with implant removal and removal of the scar tissue causing the contracture, and, a Breast Lift. (In her case, a bilateral anchor mastopexy). There is more initial, visible scarring with this type of breast lift, but it more effectively addresses the type of sagging she would experience.
Our patient is very pleased with her decision, and the restored shape and position of her natural breasts.
This is a woman in her mid-30s, who years ago, had a breast augmentation elsewhere, with saline implants. The implants have contracted, and her breasts have undergone other changes as well. Following pregnancy, she noted a loss in volume, especially in the upper pole region.
For the replacement, she chose a silicone gel, smooth, round, full style implant, 485cc.
She is very pleased with her results, and the full, more natural appearance she hoped for. After photos were taken 7 weeks post-surgery.
This patient, in her upper 40s, had a combination of surgeries to address different concerns, as well as revisions of earlier procedures, in what can be called a mommy makeover treatment. She wanted revision of a previous breast augmentation. (The implants were more than 15 years old, had contracted somewhat, and in addition, she wished to have a moderate breast lift). Dr. Lepore removed the old implants, performed capsulotomies, and replaced the implants with 400cc silicone gel, smooth, round, moderate profile-plus implants. He then performed a so-called Donut Lift, for a moderate lift with minimal scarring.
Our patient also wanted improvements to her abdomen, and buttocks. She underwent Liposuction of multiple areas; abdomen, flanks, back, arms, and thighs. Then, in a BBL (Brazilian Butt Lift) procedure, a portion of the liposuctioned fat was transferred to her buttocks and pelvic frame- for further reshaping and contouring. She is seen 3 months following her Mommy Makeover transformation, very pleased with her results.
This mother of 2, wanted to restore the pre-pregnancy volume, and position of her breasts. She noted a significant volume loss, and sagging of her breasts. She also hoped to correct some unevenness in her breasts. After discussions with Dr. Lepore, she decided to undergo Breast Augmentation, with Breast Lift. Although counseled that a standard type of lift would result in a greater change, our patient decided to proceed with what's known as a donut lift, in which the incisions are made around the areola, and the scarring is less visible. For her breast augmentation, she chose silicone gel implants, smooth, round, full profile - 415cc, subglandular placement. She's seen 7 weeks following her surgery, very pleased with her breast restoration.
