This case is an example of Body Lift in San Jose. This patient is a 35-year Bay Area woman who had worked hard at losing approximately 160 pounds. She wanted a more streamlined appearance, showcasing all of her efforts. She was interested in Body Contouring; and after detailed discussions, she decided to have a number of procedures to achieve her physical goals. They included; abdominoplasty, upper abdominal liposuction, a bilateral breast reduction and thigh lift, a brachioplasty, (also known as dermolipectomy or arm lift), of both arms, as well as a buttock lift. The surgeries performed on this patient represent a good example of the Body Contouring procedures available to those who have undergone gastric bypass surgery, or major weight loss.
Her surgeries were done in several different sessions. With each procedure, a recovery time of 1 to 3 weeks was necessary. The patient is now very happy with her results and her new figure.
This woman, in her 40s, wished to 'update' the Breast Augmentation she had over 15 years ago. She was very pleased with her breast aug, but has noted some slight sagging occurring naturally over time. She came to Dr. Lepore to discuss options, and decided on Breast Lift, and Breast Augmentation with Removal and Replacement of her original implants.
During surgery in our AAASF-accredited surgical facility, her original (390cc) Saline Implants were removed, and replaced with Extra High Profile Silicone Implants (650cc). Her Breast Lift, a Donut Mastopexy, was performed with incisions around the areola, a procedure providing a more moderate lift. Our patient is picture in the After photos, 7 weeks post-surgery. She is very happy with her results.
This is a patient who has much to celebrate. She's in her early forties, has had 2 beautiful children, and has recently achieved an amazing weight loss. On her own, she's lost over 100 pounds. She came to see Dr. Lepore to discuss the options available to her through Mommy Makeover surgery, to further reclaim her desired physical contour.
She's done so much on her own, but with major weight loss, and the effects of multiple pregnancies, she's unable to reverse sagging, laxity, and excess skin. A 'Mommy Makeover' is a non-medical term used to describe a combination of surgical procedures to address individual concerns. In our patient's case, she's chosen Breast Augmentation with Silicone Implants, Breast Lift, Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck), and Liposuction.
The procedures were performed in one session in our AAAASF-accredited surgical suite. She had an anchor-type Breast Lift, Breast Augmentation with smooth, round Silicone Implants (for upper pole fullness), a Tummy Tuck, and Liposuction of her abdomen, flanks, and thighs, to remove approximately 1500cc of fat.
For these procedures, several weeks of recovery time should be scheduled. Our patient is seen in the After photos, 8 weeks post-surgery. She is very pleased with the results of her Mommy Makeover.
This patient was experiencing problems related to the weight and size of her breasts for years. She detailed the shoulder pain and neck pain caused by her "E" cup size breasts. She initially asked Dr. Lepore about Breast Reduction surgery, and Breast Augmentation. After discussion, though, she was counseled against an augmentation with implants, since the weight of her breasts had been such an issue.
Instead, it was determined that she would be best served with a Breast Reduction, and Liposuction of excess tissue beneath her arms. After the reduction, to give her the smaller, uplifted breasts she wanted, Dr. Lepore performed an '"inverted T" style of breast lift.
She is very pleased with the appearance of her breasts, and her new level of comfort.
San Jose-Tummy Tuck
This 38-year old woman has undergone a combination of body contouring procedures to achieve her cosmetic goals.
She has lost 80 lbs. through a diet and exercise program, a great accomplishment. She was disturbed, though, by the effects of the weight loss on her appearance; sagging skin and tissue in her abdomen, flanks, and thighs, as well as sagging breasts.
She is shown in the After photos, about 2 and a half months after her procedures. She is very pleased with her results, and feels her new body contour now matches the effort she has made in her health and fitness program.
This young woman had had a Breast Augmentation some time ago. She experienced one of the most common complications resulting from this type of surgery, a condition known as Capsular Contracture, or contracting of the implants due to the formation of internal scar tissue.
All patients differ when it comes to scar formation. In this case, you can see that the implants had been 'pushed' to a position not considered optimal for a natural appearance.
She came to Dr. Lepore to have the scar tissue removed, in an operation known as a capsulotomy or capsulectomy. Once that was done, the existing implants were removed, and replaced with silicone gel implants, of the patient's choosing.
To complete her transformation, she also chose to have a breast lift, or bilateral Donut Mastopexy.
She is very pleased with the outcome, and feels the appearance of her breasts has been greatly improved.
This woman has had Breast Reconstruction surgery, following breast cancer. Dr. Lepore reconstructed her right breast, using a saline implant. At the same time, he performed surgery on her left breast, performing a reduction and breast lift- in order to give the patient a symmetrical appearance. The patient has been very pleased with the results of her reconstruction.
Breast Augmentation and Breast Lift San Jose
This is a woman in her mid-40s, who has had children, and is bothered by the current appearance of her breasts. They have lost volume, and she notes some sagging as well. She came to see Dr. Lepore to investigate whether she could see some restored volume, and have her breasts lifted at the same time. After discussions about the various types of breast implants, types of breast lifts, and surgical approaches, our patient decided on the following.
She chose to undergo Breast Augmentation, with silicone gel implants inserted in a transaxillary, subpectoral approach. The implants she chose, are smooth, round, moderate profile, 445cc. She also elected to undergo a Donut Mastopexy, or Breast Lift. In this type of lift, the incisions are made around the areola. The scarring is minimized with the so-called Donut Lift, but our patient also understood, however, that the amount of "lift" that can be achieved with this procedure is more moderate than a 'standard' breast lift would produce.
Both procedures were performed in a single session. Our patient is seen in her After photos, 8 weeks post-surgery. Even at this early date, you can see that the scarring is very discreet, and healing well. She is very pleased with the results of her Breast Augmentation and Breast Lift.
This 44-year-old woman came to Dr. Lepore to explore a variety of procedures performed together, which is commonly a Mommy Makeover. She wanted to change some of the shrinkage and the sagging appearance that her breasts took on after pregnancy. She also had significant stretching and relaxing of her abdominal wall, and therefore was interested in abdominal enhancement with liposuction and a tummy tuck.
Dr. Lepore performed a Mommy Makeover to address all of the patient's concerns in a single surgery. She underwent a subglandular breast augmentation and in her case it was determined she would benefit from a breast lift with the donut incision technique. She also underwent tummy tuck with liposuction of the upper mid abdomen and flanks for further body contouring. The procedures were performed together. The patient recovered within 2 weeks of the surgeries, and was very happy with the outcome, and the dramatic change in her new look.
This woman in her mid-30s wanted solutions to multiple concerns she was having about the appearance of her breasts: loss of volume (breast involution) and sagging (ptosis).
After a consultation with Dr. Lepore, she decided to proceed with both breast augmentation and breast lift in his San Jose surgery center. Because lax skin was causing the patient's breast sagging, Dr. Lepore recommended against breast augmentation alone.
Dr. Lepore explained the various approaches possible and our patient chose the following: breast augmentation with moderate profile silicone breast implants (265cc) and a short-scar anchor lift. Among breast lift techniques, this one provides a good, moderate lift, while leaving a "shorter scar." (The standard, so-called "anchor lift" usually produces the greatest amount of lift with a longer incision and scar)
In this case, our patient is very pleased with the choices she made, and the results of her combined procedures.
