One of our many patients, seeking help for the problems associated with overly large breasts. This woman is in her late 40s, and like so many, has been suffering for many years with persistent shoulder and bra strap pain, due to the size and weight of her DD breasts. She came to Dr. Lepore for Breast Reduction in our San Jose facility. There was quite a bit of unevenness in the size/weight of each breast. During surgery, 370gr was removed from one, and 220gr from the other. The breasts were tailored for symmetry and contour.
Our patient is very pleased with her results, and her new look and feel.
This patient was experiencing problems related to the weight and size of her breasts for years. She detailed the shoulder pain and neck pain caused by her "E" cup size breasts. She initially asked Dr. Lepore about Breast Reduction surgery, and Breast Augmentation. After discussion, though, she was counseled against an augmentation with implants, since the weight of her breasts had been such an issue.
Instead, it was determined that she would be best served with a Breast Reduction, and Liposuction of excess tissue beneath her arms. After the reduction, to give her the smaller, uplifted breasts she wanted, Dr. Lepore performed an '"inverted T" style of breast lift.
She is very pleased with the appearance of her breasts, and her new level of comfort.
Mommy Makeover-San Jose
This 50-year old patient has just achieved a 65lb. weight loss through diet and exercise. She now wants her body appearance to reflect the healthy and fit lifestyle she's adopted. She wanted to resolve issues of sagging, and loose skin left by the weight loss in her breasts, and abdomen. Dr. Lepore explained the various procedures that could address her concerns, including a Breast Lift, and Breast Reduction, along with a Tummy Tuck, and Liposuction. (A combination of procedures designed to reshape multiple areas in women, is often referred to as Mommy Makeover surgery.)
In this case, our patient underwent a Breast Lift, along with a moderate Breast Reduction, an extended Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck), and Liposuction of the abdomen and flanks.
She continues her new lifestyle commitment, and is very pleased with the results of her body contouring surgeries.
Women frequently suffer the difficulties associated with large breasts for years, before seeking medical help. This patient is approaching 50 years old. For decades, symptoms such as neck and shoulder pain, bra strap grooving on her shoulders, and rashes underneath her breasts, had been part of her life.
After losing a significant amount of weight, she decided to visit Dr. Lepore in our San Jose Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery office, to learn what her options might be. Despite the weight loss, her breasts were still in the DD-cup range, with the left breast somewhat larger than the right. After discussing the various options, she decided to proceed with Breast Reduction surgery. During the procedure, Dr. Lepore carefully removed tissue and fat. The amounts removed from each breast differed, to produce a symmetrical result.
The patient was counseled on post-surgical care, and healed quickly. She is very pleased with her results, both aesthetically, and for the improvement in her overall physical well-being.
This is a young woman, seeking to solve the longstanding problems caused by the size and weight of her breasts. In addition to being an avid runner, she works in the exercise industry, and reports that the pain she suffered in her shoulders, upper back, and bra strap areas, was actually limiting her ability to do her job.
She decided to undergo Breast Reduction with Dr. Lepore. Her breast size was originally in the "F" cup range, on a petite frame. Her post-surgery size, is a C to D cup. She's seen in the After photos 8 weeks after surgery. She returned to work soon after surgery, and is very pleased with her new look, and the new freedom she says she feels.
This case is an example of Body Lift in San Jose. This patient is a 35-year Bay Area woman who had worked hard at losing approximately 160 pounds. She wanted a more streamlined appearance, showcasing all of her efforts. She was interested in Body Contouring; and after detailed discussions, she decided to have a number of procedures to achieve her physical goals. They included; abdominoplasty, upper abdominal liposuction, a bilateral breast reduction and thigh lift, a brachioplasty, (also known as dermolipectomy or arm lift), of both arms, as well as a buttock lift. The surgeries performed on this patient represent a good example of the Body Contouring procedures available to those who have undergone gastric bypass surgery, or major weight loss.
Her surgeries were done in several different sessions. With each procedure, a recovery time of 1 to 3 weeks was necessary. The patient is now very happy with her results and her new figure.
Many women suffer for years from problems associated with large breasts. This patient is one such example.
She came to see Dr. Lepore for Breast Reduction surgery. Because of her active and athletic lifestyle, she was having even more severe problems due to the size and weight of her breasts. These problems included bra strap pain, shoulder and upper back pain. She was even experiencing numbness radiating down her arms.
On her petite frame, her breasts were a 40 F to a 40 I-cup size, with the right breast substantially larger than the left. After extensive discussion, she decided to proceed with the Breast Reduction surgery.
In this case, where the patient is experiencing medical problems due to the size of her breasts, this type of surgery is indeed covered by medical insurance. Our staff is very experienced in working with insurance companies, to see that our patients can receive benefits.
This woman noticed almost immediate relief from the type of pain and other symptoms she was having. She is thilled to move on with her life, and activities in more comfort. And, she's very pleased with the new appearance of her breasts.
Cosmetic Surgery-Campbell (Breast Reduction)
This woman, in her early 30's, came to see Dr. Lepore because of problems experienced by many women with large breasts. In her case, her triple-D cup breasts on her petite frame, were causing continual back pain, neck pain, grooving on her shoulders caused by the pull of her bra straps, in addition to frequent rashes beneath the folds of her breasts. She was a candidate for Breast Reduction surgery, or Mammaplasty. Very often, Breast Reduction surgery will be covered in a patient's insurance plan. Our staff will work with you in determining whether this is possible in your individual case. Dr. Lepore discussed the surgery with the patient in detail, also noting in her particular case, one breast was significantly larger than the other. During her surgery, 730 grams of tissue were removed from the left breast, and 399 grams on the right. Not only are her breasts reduced to a more comfortable size and weight, they are now more symmetrical. The patient is very pleased, both with the appearance of her breasts, and with the physical improvement she is enjoying.
This is a young woman who was bothered by the size and weight of her breasts. In the DD to DDD cup range, she complained that her breasts were interfering in her lifestyle, and causing personal distress.
Many women with large breasts will change their style of dress, wearing baggy clothing and even slouching in an effort to hide their chest area. Our patient also leads a very active, and athletic life, and was seeking relief from the problems her breast size brought on. She determined to undergo Breast Reduction in our San Jose surgery center. Her breasts were slightly asymmetrical, so during surgery, approximately 500 grams of tissue was removed from the right breast, and approximately 550 grams from the left. Her breasts were tailored to their new shape and position.
She is very pleased with her results, and enjoys a new sense of comfort and ease in her many activities.
As you may know, Mommy Makeover is a term used to describe a combination of surgeries that address areas many women want to revise after pregnancy; specifically breasts, tummy, and fat removal through liposuction.
In this case, the patient is choosing a Mommy Makeover in San Jose as a result of weight loss rather than pregnancy. Despite an extensive exercise and diet program, the patient has been unable to "lose" the large amount of hanging skin on her abdomen. She is also concerned with large, and pendulous breasts.
In discussions with Dr. Lepore, she decides to undergo what's known as an extended tummy tuck, along with an anchor-type mastopexy (breast lift), and bilateral breast reduction. In addition, she decides to have liposuction to further tailor her mid-abdomen and flanks.
The procedures were performed in a single session. With the combination of surgeries, recovery is more involved, and will take several weeks. The After photos seen here, were taken approximately 4 months following the surgeries.
The patient is very pleased with her results and her revised look. She continues her diet and exercise program.
