Women frequently suffer the difficulties associated with large breasts for years, before seeking medical help. This patient is approaching 50 years old. For decades, symptoms such as neck and shoulder pain, bra strap grooving on her shoulders, and rashes underneath her breasts, had been part of her life.
After losing a significant amount of weight, she decided to visit Dr. Lepore in our San Jose Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery office, to learn what her options might be. Despite the weight loss, her breasts were still in the DD-cup range, with the left breast somewhat larger than the right. After discussing the various options, she decided to proceed with Breast Reduction surgery. During the procedure, Dr. Lepore carefully removed tissue and fat. The amounts removed from each breast differed, to produce a symmetrical result.
The patient was counseled on post-surgical care, and healed quickly. She is very pleased with her results, both aesthetically, and for the improvement in her overall physical well-being.
This is a young woman, seeking to solve the longstanding problems caused by the size and weight of her breasts. In addition to being an avid runner, she works in the exercise industry, and reports that the pain she suffered in her shoulders, upper back, and bra strap areas, was actually limiting her ability to do her job.
She decided to undergo Breast Reduction with Dr. Lepore. Her breast size was originally in the "F" cup range, on a petite frame. Her post-surgery size, is a C to D cup. She's seen in the After photos 8 weeks after surgery. She returned to work soon after surgery, and is very pleased with her new look, and the new freedom she says she feels.
Mommy Makeover-San Jose
This 50-year old patient has just achieved a 65lb. weight loss through diet and exercise. She now wants her body appearance to reflect the healthy and fit lifestyle she's adopted. She wanted to resolve issues of sagging, and loose skin left by the weight loss in her breasts, and abdomen. Dr. Lepore explained the various procedures that could address her concerns, including a Breast Lift, and Breast Reduction, along with a Tummy Tuck, and Liposuction. (A combination of procedures designed to reshape multiple areas in women, is often referred to as Mommy Makeover surgery.)
In this case, our patient underwent a Breast Lift, along with a moderate Breast Reduction, an extended Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck), and Liposuction of the abdomen and flanks.
She continues her new lifestyle commitment, and is very pleased with the results of her body contouring surgeries.
One of our many patients, seeking help for the problems associated with overly large breasts. This woman is in her late 40s, and like so many, has been suffering for many years with persistent shoulder and bra strap pain, due to the size and weight of her DD breasts. She came to Dr. Lepore for Breast Reduction in our San Jose facility. There was quite a bit of unevenness in the size/weight of each breast. During surgery, 370gr was removed from one, and 220gr from the other. The breasts were tailored for symmetry and contour.
Our patient is very pleased with her results, and her new look and feel.
This patient was experiencing problems related to the weight and size of her breasts for years. She detailed the shoulder pain and neck pain caused by her "E" cup size breasts. She initially asked Dr. Lepore about Breast Reduction surgery, and Breast Augmentation. After discussion, though, she was counseled against an augmentation with implants, since the weight of her breasts had been such an issue.
Instead, it was determined that she would be best served with a Breast Reduction, and Liposuction of excess tissue beneath her arms. After the reduction, to give her the smaller, uplifted breasts she wanted, Dr. Lepore performed an '"inverted T" style of breast lift.
She is very pleased with the appearance of her breasts, and her new level of comfort.
This case is an example of Body Lift in San Jose. This patient is a 35-year Bay Area woman who had worked hard at losing approximately 160 pounds. She wanted a more streamlined appearance, showcasing all of her efforts. She was interested in Body Contouring; and after detailed discussions, she decided to have a number of procedures to achieve her physical goals. They included; abdominoplasty, upper abdominal liposuction, a bilateral breast reduction and thigh lift, a brachioplasty, (also known as dermolipectomy or arm lift), of both arms, as well as a buttock lift. The surgeries performed on this patient represent a good example of the Body Contouring procedures available to those who have undergone gastric bypass surgery, or major weight loss.
Her surgeries were done in several different sessions. With each procedure, a recovery time of 1 to 3 weeks was necessary. The patient is now very happy with her results and her new figure.
Mommy Makeover-San Jose
This woman, in her late 40s, has made a careful decision to address some of the changes in her body. She's a mother of two, and has recently lost close to 50 pounds.
She felt ready to explore what a Mommy Makeover might do. In talks with Dr. Lepore, she discussed concerns about her abdomen, and her breasts. The pregnancies and the weight loss have left their marks- significant loose abdominal skin, lax abdominal muscles, and areas of excess fat. Her breasts, in the DD size range, were somewhat pendulous, with one breast larger, and sagging more than the other.
'Mommy Makeover' is the name given to a combination of surgeries, designed to address the individual areas of concern. In this case, it was determined that our patient would be best served with the following: an extended abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck), Breast Reduction and Breast Lift, and Liposuction. During the tummy tuck surgery, the abdominal muscles were repaired, and the excess skin removed. During the breast reduction surgery, differering amounts of tissue were removed from each breast, creating a more symmetrical result, and with the Breast Lift, the breasts were elevated, and the nipples repositioned. Finally, excess fat was removed through Liposuction, from the abdomen and flanks.
In this case, the surgeries were performed in a single session. The patient is seen about 2 months following the procedures, in the After photos, with a completely different contour. She is very pleased with her results.
Breast Reduction-Breast Lift San Jose
This is an example of Breast Reduction with 'anchor-type' Breast Lift. This case also provides an example of what is possible and advisable in these surgeries. The patient, in her early 40s, has been suffering for many years from the effects of the size and weight of her breasts. In the HH Cup range, with the right breast larger and more pendulous than the left, she has been bothered by back and neck pain, and rashes. She wishes to reduce her breasts to a much smaller size.
Dr. Lepore counseled her that there are limits to what can and should be done. To avoid compromising blood supply, and the health of the breast tissue and nipple, great care is taken. He recommended a reduction of tissue, and a standard mastopexy to achieve a result in the D-cup range. In addition, he recommended this approach to preserve body symmetry for an aesthetic result.
During surgery, approximately 1400 grams of tissue were removed from the breasts, more on the right than left. During the lift procedure, the breasts were tailored, and the nipples repositioned.
The patient is very pleased with the changes in her breasts, and her new level of physical comfort.
This petite woman came to Dr. Lepore hoping for a solution to a number of issues associated with her breast size. A 50-year old mother of two, she was complaining of back pain, and significant bra strap grooving, due to the weight of her triple-D cup breasts. She and Dr. Lepore discussed the details of San Jose Breast Reduction surgery, and the results she might expect. She decided to have the surgery, which was performed as an outpatient procedure, in about two hours. Approximately 3/4 of a pound of tissue was removed from each breast.
The patient healed very well, was able to return to work in about a week, and to strenuous physical activity within three weeks. She is extremely pleased with her results, in terms of physical improvement as well as aesthetic appeal.
This young woman has been bothered by the size and weight of her breasts. In the DD to DDD range, her breasts are also pendulous and somewhat asymmetrical, with the right larger than the left.
She decided to have a Breast Reduction and Lift. During this type of procedure, excess breast tissue is removed, the nipple repositioned, and the remaining breast tissue resected and tailored to achieve a lift. The surgery involves a so-called standard, or keyhole breast lift. In this instance, 480 grams of tissue was removed from the right breast, 360 grams from the left.
Our patient is seen 8 weeks following her Breast Reduction surgery, and she's very pleased with her new appearance and level of comfort.
