This petite mom is in her mid-30s, and has had 3 babies delivered by C-section. She came to our San Jose office to explore Mommy Makeover options. The term is used to describe a combination of customized procedures, designed to restore some pre-pregnancy contours to a woman's body. In this case, our patient was interested in abdominal restoration, and also correction of breast involution. She noted a significant loss of volume in her breasts, along with some sagging.
During her consultation with Dr. Lepore, it was noted that she had significant stretching of her her abdominal wall muscles, and in addition, had an umbilical hernia. To address her concerns, Dr. Lepore recommended a Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty), and repair of the hernia, along with a Breast Augmentation and Breast Lift. In her case, a Donut Lift (Donut Mastopexy) was advised.
She underwent the combined Mommy Makeover procedures in a single surgical session. For her Breast Augmentation, she chose moderate profile, 295cc silicone gel implants, which were placed beneath the chest muscle.
Our patient is seen 8 weeks after her Mommy Makeover surgery, and is very pleased with her results.
Campbell Breast Augmentation-Correcting Breast Size and Symmetry.
This patient is a 50 year old woman who came in interested in improving her breast involution. This is a loss of volume which can occur after pregnancy or weight loss. She decided to have a breast augmentation, and donut mastopexy, or breast lift, using approximately a 375 cc implant. In this case, note also the asymmetry, or uneven appearance of the breasts. The combination of procedures will also address this problem.
The surgeryies are usually performed under general anesthesia, and may take about one and a half, to two hours to perform. For this Breast Augmentation and Breast Lift in San Jose, the procedures were done in a single session, in our own fully-accredited surgical suite. Most patients return to regular activity within a week or two after surgery.
This patient was very pleased with the ease of her recovery, and the outcome of her procedure, performed in our San Jose Surgery Center.
Like many women, this patient has noted significant involution (loss of volume) and sagging of her breasts. She chose to have a breast augmentation with implants, as well as a Donut Lift, a type of Breast Lift in which the incisions are made around the areola. A 'donut lift' will produce less scarring than a Standard, or Anchor Lift, but in general, does not provide as much lift. The decision is made individually. In this case, the patient chose the option of Donut Lift, and is very pleased with the results the lift and augmentation have given her.
This petite mom, in her 30s, came to see Dr. Lepore to explore Mommy Makeover options. She's had 3 children, all delivered by C-section. She's stayed in great shape, but notes significant stretching of her abdominal muscles and skin, as well as loss of volume and some sagging of her breasts. She wanted to know what procedures might improve, or reverse some of the physical results of childbearing.
After her consultation with Dr. Lepore, she decided to undergo the following customized procedures; a Tummy Tuck (abdominoplasty), a Breast Lift (in her case, a Donut Mastopexy, providing a moderate lift with minimal scarring. The incision is made around the areola.), and Breast Augmentation. For her breast augmentation, she chose moderate profile, 295cc silicone gel implants.
Her surgeries were performed in our San Jose AAAASF-accredited surgical facility, in a single session. She is seen, 8 weeks later. Our patient is very pleased with the results of her San Jose Mommy Makeover.
Tuberous breasts present a number of complex issues. Patients with this type of breast often experience concerns with appearance, and unevenness, or asymmetry. This young woman came to see us with these concerns. She was hoping to achieve a more even, rounded contour to her breasts.
In a patient with tuberous breasts, the inframammary fold (the crease beneath the breast), is unusually high, and tight to the chest wall. This causes the breast tissue to cascade downward from a high crease, with little or no lower pole appearance, or 'lift.'
In our patient's case, the left breast is significantly smaller, and higher. The correction involved releasing the contracted breast tissue, and releasing and lowering the inframammary fold. In addition, she underwent a subglandular Breast Augmentation with silicone implants of different sizes, and a Donut Lift (moderate Breast Lift with incision around the areola).
The after photos were taken 8 weeks post-surgery. There is a mark still visible, from her original breast crease. This has decreased, will continue to improve over time. Our patient is very pleased with her results, and transformation.
