This woman came to Dr. Lepore in San Jose seeking a facelift for subtle improvements with a natural touch. She was interested in facial and neck rejuvenation, with concentration on several areas, while preserving her own natural and unique beauty. She had a face and neck lift, as well as Botox injections. The procedures (Facelift, Necklift, Botox) were performed in San Jose at our fully accredited surgical suite. Our patient has been very pleased with the changes to her appearance.
This 55-year old woman was interested in eyelid rejuvenation in San Jose. She was disturbed by what she felt were the aging effects of loosening skin on her eyelids. After discussions with Dr. Lepore, she decided to undergo Blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery, on both her upper and lower lids. In addition, she chose to have Botox injections in the "frown line" and "crow's feet" areas, feeling the combination of procedures has given her entire face a lift. She is very pleased with her refreshed appearance.
San Jose-Masseter Reduction-Jaw Reshaping
Injectable treatments are now used for a wide range of enhancements, and not just for wrinkle and crease relaxation.
This young woman wanted to reduce the size of the masseter muscles (jaw muscles), which she felt were overly prominent, as well as uneven.
Dr. Lepore injected Botox into the areas, which has the effect of relaxing the muscle, and actually reducing its prominence. Our patient noted a significant softening of the angle of her jaw.
Botox injections, on average, need to be repeated after 3 to 4 months. Juvederm injections may last from 6 months, to a year.

For many years now, patients have successfully used Botox to enhance their appearance. BOTOX® Cosmetic is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines) in people 18 and older. The results are temporary, with the average length of effectiveness being 3 to 4 months. Patients often schedule their injection appointments regularly and in advance, planning ahead for this timeframe.
Patients note improvement in the "frown line" area, as well as in the "crow's feet" and forehead areas. There is usually no 'downtime' following injections. Patients may experience some discomfort, swelling, occasional discoloration or bruising, or headache. Most often, these side effects are brief, and easily managed.
Palo Alto - Botox, and other injectables, such as Juvederm and Restylane, are among the most popular procedures for our patients seeking Palo Alto Plastic Surgery. BOTOX © 2009 Allergan, Inc. The results seen by this patient show another example of the use of this prescribed, injectable treatment for frown lines, forehead creases, and crow's feet. More and more men are making these injections part of their regular "maintenance" routines. Dr. Lepore is a Board-Certified, Stanford-trained plastic surgeon, who began his Palo Alto Plastic Surgery practice there more than 20 years ago.
